Shakeila S. James, Owner
The owner of Stuckey James Events, Shakeila S. James, holds dual baccalaureate degrees in Psychology and Communication Disorders. She also holds a master's degree in Counseling. Additionally, she’s a lifestyle specialist and a community activist with a non-profit organization named after her dad, The Bruce J. Alexander Foundation, which birthed The Daughters of Addicts Foundation. Shakeila is a spiritual beam of light with a mission to improve the community, and herself, one day at a time. She believes in Wholistic Living where mind, body, life and spirit have to be aligned in order to reach one's full potential. These fields demand for her to be highly organized, sociable, relatable and patient. All of these characteristics are requirements to not only being an effective and successful event designer, but also in her life goals.
Mrs. James has been planning events such as pageants, weddings, community functions and fundraisers since college. Additionally, she held the position of Director of Development, Public Relations and Fundraising for a local non-profit agency where she attended classes at the Fundraising School at Indiana University. This position gave Shakeila the experience of working at the corporate level to increase revenue, membership, and to plan formal community events. Her experience as well as her certifications in Wedding Consulting and International Event Design further aids her in making Stuckey James Events successful. Shakeila works within several communities in South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. She is truly "The B.O.S.S Lady TM": Boldly Overcoming with Sophistication and Success!
